Malo is just one chocolate cup away from being a living, breathing Mallo Cup! - Malo absolutely LOVES whipped cream, and this fluffy white pup will come running when he hears the whipped cream come out, and then sit and wait for a squirt in his mouth! Malo is a resilient, joyful young boy with a heart as big as his paws. He came to us through a cruelty seizure involving a cockfighting operation, but you would never guess his difficult start by meeting him today. Thanks to patience, care, and love, Malo has blossomed into a well-adjusted, affectionate, and social companion. He is a sweet, silly, happy dog who genuinely enjoys being around people and other dogs. You can find him sleeping in funny positions, chasing his tail, or hiding treats in the sofa cushions (and then going back to find them later!). He has a medium-high energy level with a playful spirit, and thrives on interaction—whether it’s romping around the yard or spending time with his canine friends. He gets along beautifully with both male and female dogs and would love a home with a playful companion. True to his Great Pyrenees nature, Malo likes to make himself heard and isn’t shy about using his voice, especially when he’s excited or wants attention. However, he responds well to gentle redirection and is a good listener, showing he’s eager to learn and bond with his people. Malo would do best in a home that can offer: regular exercise and playtime; a secure, 4-foot fenced yard for safe exploration; structure, consistency, and continued positive training; an abundance of toys; and another friendly dog to play with. If you’re looking for your very own sweet Malo-Cup-Pup, apply today and get the whipped cream ready!

NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog.
Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
We have many Pyrs and Pyr mixes who need homes. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Adoptable Dogs.
