National Pyr Adoptable Dogs

COVID-19 UPDATE

Welcome to our adoption page. We have experienced a significant increase in adoption applications and our volunteers are working diligently to manage the backlog. Please check your spam folder as our emails are sometimes misdirected. We appreciate your patience, as the adoption process is taking a longer time and we are doing the best that we can in this situation.

National Great Pyrenees Rescue is a New York non-profit and we adhere to the rules and regulations established for our state. Executive Order 202.6 classifies animal shelters/animal care as an essential service.  Transport to/from New York and other states will continue in keeping with guidelines that require businesses and entities who provide essential services to implement rules which facilitate social distancing of at least six feet. Specific instructions will be provided prior to transport.  Please check your state's rules and regulations.

Dogs are listed in alphabetical order and can be sorted by general age or sex. Use the slider bar on the right side of the window below to see the 100 or more dogs we have listed. All dogs are listed as "Great Pyrenees" but some are actually Great Pyr mixes. Click on the dog's name or photo to learn more. Pending means the dog has an adoption in process. To adopt one of these wonderful dogs, please visit our adoption center and fill out an adoption application or click on the link in the dog's listing.

Please take your time, browse through our listings and fill out an application to let us know who you think is the right dog for you.
