Doggie Day in Ortley Beach: 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm, Lord House Lifeguard Boardwalk, 3rd Ave, Ortley Beach. There will be a variety of dog-friendly activities such as a dog photographer, pet products, canine training exercises, dog toy prizes and much more. Sunday, September 8, North Grafton MA

 
Pet Rock:  12 pm - 5 pm, Wyman Gordon Plant, 244 N. Worster St., North Grafton MA.  Great music all day, Adoptable Pet Parade, Amateur Dog Show, Best Ear, Owner-Dog Look Alike, Waggiest Tail and Sweetest Face contests, Agility Course, Raffles, Police K9 and Red Cross Emergency Demos. New Beginnings Kennel and Lucky Mutts Open House:  10 AM – 2 PM, 3945 E National Road, Springfield, OH.  Vendors, educational Bbooths, raffles and more. BARKtoberfest 11 – 3 PM.  Pet Adoption Event at the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo. Come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens while supporting local animals shelters and rescue groups. The day’s events will feature a Pet Photo Booth and Costume Contest, animal enrichment and education, vendor booths, food trucks and more! Event is held in the parking lot of the Education Center.
