Dogs Needing Fosters

You can visit www.nationalpyr.org/adoptable-dogs to see the pooch profiles for all our dogs.  Here are a few dogs east of the Mississippi who need foster or adoptive homes. Handsome Charlie, who is two, is at our New Beginnings kennel in Springfield, OH. He needs a caring foster to continue his  training and show him affection. He knows sit and down and is eager to learn more.  Charlie's pooch profile can be found here.

 

 

 

Zurie in Kentucky is new to rescue and she is eager to get on with her life as a family pet. Yes, Zurie can travel to you! Zurie is three years old, housebroken, crate trained, gets along with cats, and loves to ride in the car. She won't last long! Let us know if you are interested in fostering our charming new girl. How about Desi in Tennessee? He is in boarding now and is ready for a foster or furever home.  We will help move him to you. Desi walks very nicely on leash and likes going for walks. He would love a great home or a foster home with another dog.  You can read more about Desi here.

 

 

 

Marion in Kentucky is a laid-back guy who is 2 1/2 years old. He is content to wander around the yard and play with this foster brothers and sisters. Transport is available to points north and east of Kentucky. Marion's pooch profile can be found here.

 

 

 

 

Molly is a beautiful adult female Pyr at our Springfield, OH kennel. She gets along with other dogs and really appreciates affection and attention from her people. Samson in Knoxville is an older male who we sent to the University of Tennessee for surgery to remove a badly infected tumor. He was one our neediest cases who is now doing great. Samson was dumped off at a shelter covered in maggots with a raging infection and they were trying to adopt him out for 50 bucks in that condition. We were not sure he would make it, but wanted to give him every chance. He is the nicest boy ever. More info about Samson can be found here.

 

 

 

 

Lincoln in Kentucky is the new kid on the block.  He prefers the ladies (female dogs) and gets along great with cats. Lincoln is fully obedience trained, so he knows how to “sit,” “stay,” “shake,” “down,” and “heel” like a champ!  He will make a great companion. You can read Lincoln's pooch profile here.

 

 

 

Pretty Pearl in Kentucky is another neediest case. This 7-8 year old senior came from Tunical, MS where she was found half-dead from neglect on someone's porch. She has adjusted well to her new circumstances and her favorite pastimes include napping in front of a fan, eating snacks, and giving and receiving kisses. Pearl gets along with cats and people of all ages and especially loves to snuggle with children. If you are looking for the perfect senior, Pearl is your girl. Zeus in Kentucky is a fairly good on the leash and will follow you where ever you take him.  He is four years old and responds to his name and greets his humans with a happy tail wag when they tell him good morning! Zeus gets along great with other dogs, ignores cats and is very respectful of fencing.  You can read more about Zeus here.
