My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

This gorgeous young boy is Thunder, but don't be fooled by his name, because he is as sweet as can be! Thunder came into rescue after being found wandering in the streets, but he has since settled in nicely into his foster home. Despite being relatively young, Thunder is easy-going and is quite a chill pooch. He enjoys his daily activities outdoors, but he is also content to sleep 'belly up' on the cool floor for part of the day :) This handsome boy has a lovely coat that he loves being brushed regularly - how else can he remain the best looking boy in the neighborhood? Thunder is looking for a moderately active home where his people are willing to dedicate the time to help him hone his skills to becoming the pyrfect companion. As long as you have an ample supply of chew toys, we are pawsitive that Thunder will easily settle in as an essential part of your family. This lovely boy has all the pawtential to become the most pyrfect pooch, and he will no doubt bring you tons of joy for years to come!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
