My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

This gorgeous bonded pair of Pyrenees mix girls are Thelma and Louise. Both girls are sweet as can be! They are best friends, truly bonded and love each other's company. They play great together and get along fantastic with all of the other dogs at their foster's home. They are gentle, sweet and very smart. Thelma and Louise are very loving dogs - they adore humans, other dogs and do well around farm animals. We're not sure about cats, but they may do well with a dog savvy cat. Both girls adore each other and greet each other with a hug if they have been separated for any length of time :) Like the famous duo they were named after, Thelma and Louise love to ride in the car and go on adventures! Both girls do well on leash and would be a great pair for any loving family. They would love a secure fenced in yard so they could run around and play together. We found out about this lovely pair on their last day at an overcrowded Georgia shelter. Thankfully we were able to find a foster to take them in the nick of time. They are both such sweethearts, we are all so thankful they were able to make it to rescue and are now ready to find a great furever home!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
