My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Sophie is our fun-loving, spunky teenage girl! This beautiful girl is looking for an active family where she is engaged as an essential part of the household, perhaps with a sibling or two to ruff play and cuddle with. Although many people wince at the thought of teenagers, gentle Sophie is definitely one of those outliers who do not conform to the norm. She has pyrfect house manners and loves everyone she has ever met, more so if they are willing to dedicate some much deserved attention to this lovely girl. Seriously, this girl lives to be pampered - brushing? Yes! Head scratches? Yes! Belly rubs? Oh my gawd yes! Being a youngster and all, Sophie will thrive in a home where there are plenty of age-appropriate enrichment activities, ensuring her energy is channeled in a pawsitive way. During downtime, Sophie loves to chill with a chew or two, so make sure you have plenty of bully sticks in stock. She's also good on leash, so walks are a favorite. This adorable girl has a lot of pawtential, and we are pawsitive that she will be the member of your family you didn't even realize you were missing!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
