My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Are you looking for a young, affectionate gal to be your sidekick for your outdoor adventures and cuddly companion for your movie nights? Nova may be the pyrfect girl for you! Nova came into rescue pregnant and without prior knowledge of what was the meaning of love, comfort, fun, or happiness. She gave birth to four adorable puppies and is now ready to find her own furever family. She has come such a long way and has since transformed into a lovely and affectionate girl who is ready for whatever fun adventures life has to offer! Not only has she learned to trust people, but she has also mastered excellent house manners - she is more than ready to tackle the next steps of her obedience skillset. Nova likes car rides, being brushed, and chewing on bones. She does have a favorite stuffed toy. While Nova is content to nap by your feet while you work, she is also a big advocate for regular playtime outdoors. She is always up for a sniff walk in the neighborhood, will help you get in your 10,000 steps daily, and she would absolutely love to have her very own fenced-in backyard for safe exploration and zoomies :) This lovely girl will thrive in an active family where she can be loved and adored. Once she gets to know you, Nova will be your most loyal companion and bring you tons of joy for years to come with her goofy Pyrsonality!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
