My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Mia is a super Good Girl who hasn’t let a rough start in life stop her from being very loving. Mia is very calm, gentle and loving, and wants to be with her humans, quietly following them from room to room. She’s working on learning her basic commands, enjoys walks and getting used to car rides. Mia does well with other dogs and mostly ignores the indoor cat in her foster home. She’s a bit shy with strangers, taking a little time to warm up, but once she does she’s very loving and excited to be with you :) Mia would do best with older children to give her a chance to acclimate to her new environment. She loves her toys, being pet, rubbed and brushed. She does not like loud storms or noises. Mia is a sweet special girl who along with being calm, quiet, gentle and loving, is smart too! She can find a pill hidden in any food :) Mia is looking for a family or single person without small children and another male dog to play with would be a bonus! Mia is beautiful, easy going and adaptable to your lifestyle. All she wants is to lie next to her humans and get loved on. If Mia sounds like your Pyrfect companion, apply today!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
