My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Max is a big beautiful boy and a total Pyr-lover’s Pyr! This gorgeous guy is even-tempered and chill. He loves going out for walks on his leash and thrives when he’s strolling through the neighborhood chillin’ with his human or humans. When not out on walk, Max prefers to be indoors with his humans - going out for quick bathroom breaks but hurrying back inside to curl up for a nap. Max is sweet and loving, steady and gentle. He loves meeting new people, he doesn’t jump - just sweetly leans in for more pets. Max does great with cats and children. He’s doesn’t even acknowledge other dogs out on his walks and he has done well with older female dogs in his home. Max would love home with humans around most of the time to keep him company. He’s happiest when he’s with his people! If this loyal and loving Pyr boy sounds like the right companion for you, apply today!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
