My Story

Luke, our handsome Southern Gentleman, is ready to settle down with his furever family! This beautiful young boy has the sweetest pyrsonality and is a champion cuddle bug. He is the poster child for having the best temperament - not only does he get along well with ALL of his canine and feline foster siblings, but he is also the most gentle giant when it comes to children. Despite his good nature, Luke is still a guardian dog at heart; he will no doubt let you know when unannounced visitors attempt to trespass onto the property. Luke is such an easy-going boy that we believe he will easily fit into a loving home, especially one where his people have the time to dote on him. He'll give you the 'Pyr Paw' so he can get all the rubs you want to give. This young boy knows his basic cues and is an excellent listener - he is also food motivated which makes training a fun exercise for both parties! He loves fruit and veggies and his fave times of the day are mealtimes :) If you are looking for an easy-going, good-natured boy to be your companion, Luke may be the pyrfect match for you!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
