Loving Lewis, the young Great Pyrenees boy, is smart, playful, and always has a smile on his face :) He is so gifted that he has written his own family “wish list” and it reads like this: "Family wanted—must love and understand fluffy white guardian dogs, have a sense of humor, enjoy walking or hiking, have comfy dog beds, tasty food, toys, and lots of time, patience, and love!" Lewis and his brother came to rescue from a shelter where they came in as strays; so, he will need a secure fenced yard at least 5 feet. Lewis takes his playing seriously so he would love a home with a sister canine who has the same zest for life! He is working on house training but will have it mastered with consistency and plenty of praise. Lewis loves to be brushed, being with his people, is learning to walk nicely on a leash, loves toys, and is ready and waiting to meet you! If you are ready for a day filled with fun and adventure, have a love of all things PYR and would love for Lewis to be part of your life, put in an application today - Lewis can’t wait to meet you!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
