My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Bonnie's Babies are ready to find their furever families! Mom Bonnie is a Pyr mix who was found in rural TN where she had her litter of 7 under a porch. Spunky Keke is independent but also loves to seek out snuggles and kisses from her people! This whiskey-colored baby girl with the pretty badger markings has been raised with her siblings and their mama in a foster home where she is thriving with constant attention, good food and lots of mental stimulation. Keke has learned from older dogs in the foster pack, how to do her business outdoors and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement. This snuggly girl is dearly loved by her foster and is crate trained and sleeps through the night. She also knows how to walk on leash and loves other dogs and all people. She enjoys playing hard (and sleeping and cuddling even harder :) Keke will require a family with a 5-6’ fence and an older male canine playmate to teach her how to be a big dog! Are you the PYRfect family to help Keke seek out the world? If so, put in an adoption application to learn more about this sweet girl!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
