Meet Dash! Dash is just the most wonderful and endearing ball of energy. This boy is every bit puppy and is loving life, now that he’s safe, healthy and well-fed. Dash is a smart pup learning his basic commands. He did well with crate training but is now sleeping out free in the house. He’s housetrained with the occasional nighttime accident. He’s working on his leash skills and loves to meander slowly on walks taking in all the sniffs. Dash came to rescue as a young baby severely malnourished with a large overbite. Everything seems to have healed up great. He still has that endearing overbite but it doesn’t hold him back one bit. Dash takes his kibble a little wet so it’s soft and easier for him to pick up. If his foster forgets to do this, he will dump his bowl on the ground and proceed to eat laying down :) Dash would do best fed separately so he's not tempted to resource guard his food from others. Dash absolutely loves to play with his doggy friends. He’s very socially aware, understanding which dogs want to play and which ones don’t. He did great with cats, curious and playful but not aggressive. Dash loves to run through his kiddie pool and enjoys dunking his head under water to blow bubbles! He loves children but since he is growing fast, older kids would be better and more aware of his habits. Dash is a ball of energy one minute and after draining his tank he crashes hard and becomes very easy going. His new family should be committed to bringing a puppy into the home and all that comes with it - he will require ongoing leash work and training. Dash will make the right family extremely happy. He’s an all-around great puppy that is sure to make you laugh and bring lots of love to your home. If Dash sounds like the guy you are looking for, apply today!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
