This super handsome young boy is Cody and he is one of the nicest Pyrenees you could ever meet! Cody is such a sweetheart - he adores everyone he meets both human and furry, and he absolutely loves to play with other dogs. Cody is gentle, sweet and smart and takes direction well. He loves going for rides in the car and loves to stick his head out of the window :) He is an all around goofball who would love a family who will take him on adventures. He loves going to the coffee shop and to visit stores where he loves meeting people and making friends. We haven’t seen a dog that he hasn’t gotten along with. He just wants to play with everyone. Cody does great with cats as well! He loves to be inside with his people and does well being crated. He is a great boy in need of a great home! Cody was abandoned in TN and wandered up to a family who contacted the shelter and diligently looked for his owners, but he was never reclaimed so the family and the shelter reached out to us for rescue help. Cody is currently in boarding so we would love to get him to a great home of his own or a foster home. We are so happy Cody is safe now in rescue and ready to find a fantastic family of his own!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
