My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Clifford is our handsome Pyr (we think mixed w/Saint Bernard) boy who is looking for an active furever home. This big boy is the Scooby Doo of the pack, and he is responsible for providing entertainment for all his foster siblings and pyrents :) Just take one look at his goofy face and you will know that he is the happiest-go-lucky boy with a contagiously pawsitive pyrsonality! If you ask him, Clifford will tell you his favorite activity is play - and it doesn't matter with what! Sticks? Yep! Balls? Of course! People? You bet! Since settling into rescue, Clifford has been perfecting his leash manners because he anticipates many lovely walks with his furever people. After all, this is what life should be - seeing the world and enjoying what life has to offer, right? Given his zest for life, Clifford will do best in a relatively active home where his people are dedicated to his well-being by providing adequate amounts of physical and mental stimulation. Of course, continued pawsitive reinforcement training can help this young boy mature into your most loyal companion. If you are willing to open your heart to welcome this lovely boy, we are pawsitive Clifford will bring you years of joy and happiness!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
