If you are looking for a cute, fluffy boy to join your pack, Carlos may be the pyrfect boy for you! This silly boy is so much fun and loves his people; sadly, he was surrendered to rescue as his family can no longer care for him due to unforeseen circumstances. Being a young boy, Carlos still has some growing - both physically and mentally - to do. However, he has mastered a few basic cues and is always up for a nice stroll in the neighborhood. This big boy especially enjoys ruff-housing with playmates of similar sizes - although he can be a bit mouthy at times (remember he is still a very young boy!), he has proven to be an exceptional playmate for his foster siblings. Perhaps due to his size, he has had some growing pains lately, but appropriate medication has helped alleviate his discomfort - he has been checked by the vet so keeping a close eye as he matures is the recommendation. This special boy adores attention from people, and he absolutely thrives with positive reinforcement training! Since settling in with his foster family, Carlos has been working really hard to be a good boy, learning all about manners and appropriate etiquette. This sweet, loving boy is hoping for his very own family to love, preferably one where his people are dedicated to spend time to help bring out the best qualities in him. This gorgeous boy has so much pawtential - it is just a matter of time before he shows you what a good, smart, and loyal boy he is!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
