My Story

Adoption Pending. You can see more of these beautiful dogs by clicking on Rescue Dogs.

Announcing this perfect and stunning litter of full Pyr puppies—the City Slickers who came to rescue as owner surrenders from their breeder. These kids are the real deal—simply gorgeous with amazing personalities to match. Brooklyn, a gentle, calm, independent girl is a super star! She knows sit (without a treat), has mastered the leash, and loves to go for walks! Brooklyn doesn’t know a stranger when out and about and is a social butterfly warming up to all the dogs and people; she even wrapped her body around the vet tech! Brooklyn loves to get pets but in true Pyr fashion wants it on her terms; sometimes playing coy :) This girl is a true Pyr—loves to nap outside, play with all the dogs, and then lay at your feet at night, happy to serve as a foot warmer. Brooklyn loves puzzles but is always happy to share with her foster brother. She is all puppy and will sometimes forget how big she is, tripping over her feet in her excitement to get somewhere. She is crate trained and will often go upstairs and put herself to bed if her foster parents stay up too late—after all a girl needs her beauty rest! Brooklyn is looking for a furever home with another male dog or two to play with, a big, fenced yard and PYRents who will give her unconditional love and continue to teach her new things!

NYS Registered Rescue # RR102

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
