The 2011 National Pyr Happy Endings Calendar
Pyrs and Pyr mixes look great in any season. And we've received some fantastic photos of your dogs to include in our 2011 Happy Endings Rescue Calendar — so many great photos that we'll have a hard time fitting them all in! (We'll do our best, though.)
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who submitted a photo. You helped generate some much needed summer funding for National Pyr Rescue, and you contributed to what will be a very handsome calendar. The calendar will be available later this fall, and we'll soon put a new calendar order form (minus the photo/contest submissions) back on the site.
Announcing The Dog for All Seasons Calendar Cover Contest Winner

Woody, the 2011 Calendar Contest Winner
Somebody had to be Top Dog on the 2011 National Pyr Rescue Happy Endings Calendar, and it turned out to be the very handsome Woody, of Highland, NY. Woody's photo will grace the cover of our 2011 calendar and his story will also be featured inside. Congratulations, Woody, and thank you for raising $899 for rescue!
Congratulations to our strong second- and third-place finishers as well, and to all the photogenic dogs in our fund-raising contest! You'd be hard-pressed indeed to find a better-looking, more varied group of winsome canine photos (Pyrs almost always photograph well). Samson of Beverly, MA was our second-place winner — he brought in $420 in votes for rescue. Willis and Zoe, of West Greenwich, RI (our 2010 calendar cover dogs), turned in a strong third-place finish with $375 in rescue votes.
Every dog who competed in the Dog for All Seasons Contest will be included in our 2011 calendar — if you haven't ordered your copy yet, be sure to do so soon.
